blueStone has been retained by a leading healthcare organization to assist in their search for a Certified Epic Optime Analyst. This is a long term contract opportunity located in the greater Louisville area in Kentucky.

Job Description

The OpTime builder will have certification in Epic OpTime as well as previous implementation experience as a builder. 

Other duties include:

Builds collaborative relationships between Informatics and operational users to ensure the optimum design.  This position is responsible for optimizing key business processes. Analyzes and articulates current state workflows and barriers to optimization. Analyzes business requirements and develops design specifications.

Assists in workflow process changes. This position utilizes a strong understanding of the software, the operational workflows and governing policies and regulations. Leads and facilitates user groups to efficiently and effectively participate in enhancement of and governance of clinical and revenue cycle software.

Works with operational managers to define and articulate reporting needs, communicate the requirements to Informatics Business Intelligence Analysts, and participate in data collection as needed.

Advises others on design and configuration in routine to medium complex solutions. Responsible for designing and implementing highly complex solutions across multiple departments (or software modules).

Requires a Bachelor*s degree from an accredited four-year college or university equivalent experience. 

Epic OpTime certification

A minimum of one to five years experience in an assigned area of responsibility in healthcare operations, clinic, or hospital.

Two-three years experience in Epic system configuration.

A minimum of one year supporting electronic health record users; Epic experience preferred

Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, collaborative, to escalate appropriately, to communicate clearly, and to learn quickly, with strong attention to detail.

Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio). Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel preferred.

In-depth understanding of clinical practice standards, legal and ethical principles, patient safety, health care evaluation and outcomes measures

In-depth knowledge of departmental/clinical operations, workflow, policies, and procedures. Knowledge of continuous quality improvement principles and experience in applying these skills to affect organizational change
