Interventional Cardiologist Opportunity

Trinity Health Michigan is seeking a full-time Interventional Cardiologist (MD/DO) to join its established cardiovascular team in Muskegon, offering an exciting opportunity to practice advanced interventional cardiology within a physician-led, mission-driven health system that combines the autonomy of private practice with the resources and support of a nationally recognized healthcare network.

Job Description:

  • Provide interventional cardiology services for a regional cardiovascular practice
  • Perform cardiac catheterizations and coronary angioplasty/stenting (PCI)
  • Conduct emergency angioplasty procedures for acute myocardial infarction
  • Provide inpatient cardiovascular consultations
  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
  • Conduct electrical cardioversions
  • Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
  • Participate in pacemaker, bi-ventricular pacemaker, ICD, and loop recorder implantation
  • Evaluate and treat patients with coronary artery disease (CAD)
  • Manage patients with cardiomyopathy and arrhythmias
  • Provide treatment planning for valvular heart disease
  • Participate in heart failure management and CHF clinic support
  • Deliver presurgical cardiovascular evaluations
  • Support lipid management and anticoagulation (Coumadin) management
  • Collaborate with advanced practice providers (APPs), nurses, and medical assistants
  • Work within a multidisciplinary cardiovascular care model
  • Participate in a regional cardiovascular network collaboration
  • Utilize Epic EMR and MyChart digital systems
  • Provide care within a high-volume cardiology practice serving West Michigan communities
  • Focus strictly on Interventional Cardiology (no structural heart allocation)
  • The cardiology group collaborates with a strong Cardiothoracic Surgery program and expanding Electrophysiology services, allowing for coordinated cardiovascular care across the continuum.

Open to experienced Board-Certified provider or TRULY Board Eligible recent graduates. Open to new graduates and experience. Physicians must be board certified in their specialty, or board eligible and will become board certified within 2 years of becoming board eligible. Not accepting candidates who have lapsed Board Certification and need to obtain again. Not accepting Locums candidates.
