Job Title: Dialysis Technician

Location: Janesville, WI
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift (36–40 hours/week)
Rate: $30/hour (All Inclusive)
Facility Type: 150–500 bed hospital

Position Urgency: Normal


Position Summary

We are seeking a Certified Dialysis Technician to join the team in Janesville, WI. The Dialysis Technician provides specialized, hands-on patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, ensuring safe and effective dialysis treatments. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate, monitor, and discontinue dialysis treatments according to prescribed protocols.

  • Measure and record vital signs, including manual blood pressures, weights, and temperatures.

  • Set up, prime, and maintain dialysis machines and water systems, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.

  • Cannulate vascular access sites and manage catheters, including flushing and heparinization.

  • Collect and prepare lab specimens as ordered.

  • Perform daily and monthly maintenance, safety checks, and disinfection of water room systems in collaboration with the Biomedical Team.

  • Document all treatment data accurately within the EMR (Epic).

  • Monitor patients throughout treatment, responding promptly to any complications or changes in condition.

  • Maintain supply inventory, order materials, and ensure a clean, safe treatment environment.

  • Participate in performance improvement and staff education activities.


Required Qualifications
  • Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) – NNCC or BONENT certification required.

  • Current CPR/BLS certification (approved provider).

  • Minimum 6 months of dialysis experience preferred (training or internship experience accepted).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

  • Technical proficiency in operating and maintaining dialysis equipment.

  • Knowledge of infection prevention and safety regulations.


Schedule & Pay
  • Shift: Daytime, 36–40 hours per week.

  • Pay: $30/hour (All Inclusive).

  • Overtime: +$10/hour after 40 hours per week.

  • Holiday Pay: +$10/hour.
