Job description

The Imaging Informatics Specialist III is responsible for the day-to-day support, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the Radiology and Cardiology PACS system as well as other support systems used within the Imaging Services departments. Additionally, is responsible for all communications between PACS vendors and Department. Will be involved with EPIC interfacing between PACS. PACS System Administrator interfaces with technologists, Radiology Administration, and Physicians. Prepares reports for department administrator, assists in planning for and installing system hardware and software upgrades and provides system training for new users.

Required Knowledge & Skills

Education: Associate Degree or 2 years of college coursework

Experience: Five years of related experience. Requires broad knowledge of complex systems and procedures.

Licenses and Certifications

*DRIVER'S LICENSE

Qualifications

*Must work well as a team member with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.

*Associates Degree or equivalent with 5 years of relevant experience required in Radiology and or computer science.

*Bachelor's degree preferred.

*Imaging Informatics Professional Certification preferred.

*ARRT, ARDMS, CNMT or other Imaging Certification from an AMA approved school of Radiology preferred.

*Strong Technical Skills, Communication Skills, Professional Drive, Written and Presentation Skills.

*Must have strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines.

*Knowledge of Imaging Systems and related third party vendors, SQL database, practical understanding of HL7 standards & DICOM, ability to write database queries, design and architecture.

*Preferred knowledge of and experience with Imaging PACS systems (Sectra Radiology, Philips Cardiology) and related software including, but not limited to, Powerscribe, Powershare, etc.
