Job Profile Summary
The EPIC Client System Administrator Intermediate analyzes and prepares the processes to ensure the smooth operation of EPIC applications, infrastructures, and associated systems. Working under moderate supervision, this role participates in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimization of broader EPIC applications, such as cache databases and ancillary Windows applications.
Essential Job Function:
  • Installs, upgrades, and provides ongoing support for EPIC ancillary applications, such as Web Blob, Interconnect, Hyperspace Web, and EPS, on selected server platforms.
  • Applies EPIC client pack updates to all installed ancillary applications and server-side updates to various Cache environments, including Development, Test, Train, and Production.
  • Works to apply and validate Linux/Windows patches to database and application servers, ensuring the environment is secure and stable.
  • Prepares storage processes associated with EPIC Cache databases, Windows ancillary applications, as well as ensures allocation and planning related to the database is standardized and in compliance.
  • Optimizes the performance of EPIC ancillary applications, as well as Epic Cache database instances, ensuring networked environments run smoothly without problems.
  • Implements viable backup, recovery, and high availability strategies for the database so that EPIC application data is stored and secure.
  • Defines and implements database parameters, security measures, audit processes, and resource allocation policies to ensure standardization across the applications and platforms.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree or four years of equivalent experience.

Experience:
  • Required: 3 years.

Licensure/Certification/Listing:
  • Required: EPIC Certification.
