What are EPC jobs?

EPC jobs refer to roles within Engineering, Procurement, and Construction companies involved in large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects. These jobs often require technical skills, project management abilities, and knowledge of safety standards, with workers typically involved in designing, sourcing materials, and building facilities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) Project Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as an EPC Project Manager, you need expertise in project management, engineering principles, and procurement processes, typically supported by a degree in engineering or construction management and relevant certifications like PMP. Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project), contract management systems, and industry standards is crucial. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills set outstanding EPC Project Managers apart. These skills ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards while managing risks and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) roles, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in EPC roles often encounter challenges such as managing tight project timelines, coordinating among multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Effective communication and strong project management skills are essential to navigate these complexities. Staying proactive in risk assessment and leveraging digital project management tools can help mitigate issues before they escalate. Collaboration and regular updates with stakeholders also play a crucial role in keeping projects on track and within budget.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

High-paying jobs that can earn around $2,000 a day include specialized roles such as experienced consultants, surgeons, corporate executives, and certain freelance professionals like software developers or project managers with significant expertise. These positions often require advanced skills, certifications, or extensive experience, and may involve high-pressure environments or demanding schedules.

What jobs pay $10,000 a month without a degree?

EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) roles in the energy or infrastructure sectors can pay $10,000 or more per month, especially for experienced project managers or senior engineers. Other high-paying jobs without a degree include sales managers, real estate brokers, and skilled trades like electricians or plumbers with significant experience, though these often require specialized skills or certifications. Success in these roles depends on experience, skills, and sometimes licensing or certifications rather than formal degrees.

What is the 3 month rule for jobs?

The 3 month rule for jobs, including roles like EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), typically refers to a probation period of three months during which an employee's performance and fit for the role are evaluated. During this time, employees may have limited job security and benefits, and employers assess whether to confirm permanent employment or extend the probation. This period helps both parties determine if the employment arrangement is suitable before full commitment.

EPC Engagement Manager
Company Overview
At Mitsubishi Power, we're not just building better clean energy technologies; we're architecting a better future. Our team is boldly redefining power generation to accelerate the world's energy transition. We operate as one team, pushing toward our vision of the future. We value problem solvers, prioritize collaboration, and support each other in an inclusive culture built on accountability and authenticity by demonstrating our values: Safety, Family, Innovative, Inclusive, Accountable & Courageous. Together, we're building the future we all aspire to - making net zero a reality.
Role Overview
The EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) Engagement Manager serves as a strategic liaison between EPC organizations and Mitsubishi Power. The role focuses on strengthening pre-award engagement with EPC, EPCM, and consortium partners by developing a deep understanding of EPC structures, execution models, and decision drivers. This position supports relationship development, early project insights, cross-functional collaboration, and alignment across engineering, commercial, and execution teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of EPC firms' structures, capabilities, and execution models.
  • Serve as a trusted interface between Mitsubishi Power and EPC organizations.
  • Conduct early site visits to observe EPC construction practices and gather execution intelligence.
  • Engage EPC leadership to understand decision-making, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Provide insights on schedule risk, productivity, coordination, and safety culture.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with EPC leadership across engineering, construction, and executive teams.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Commercial Operations through the RFP process.
  • Coordinate EPC inquiries with internal engineering, project management, commercial operations, project risk, and claims teams.
  • Support internal visibility to emerging EPC-related risk indicators.
  • Promote alignment and consistent messaging across Mitsubishi Power when engaging EPCs.
  • Support senior-level EPC engagement to strengthen strategic positioning.
  • Travel approximately 30-40% to EPC offices, construction sites, and Mitsubishi Power locations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field; sales experience is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in power generation, power sales, or large capital infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working directly with EPC firms in sales, execution, coordination, or leadership-facing roles.
  • Familiarity with construction-driven project environments and EPC delivery models.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across technical, commercial, and executive audiences.
  • Ability to translate EPC needs into internal actions and influence outcomes within a matrixed organization.
  • High business acumen related to cost, schedule, risk, and commercial impacts.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and independent work capability.

Why Should You Apply?
  • Excellent Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision & 401K Matching).
  • Excellent development programs and advancement opportunities.
  • Tuition reimbursement and on-the-job training.
  • Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays.
  • Committed to quality products and services.
  • Great working environment and culture.
  • Employee Appreciation Programs and Event.
