Job description

Examinetics is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Industrial Hygiene (Air Sampling) Technician to join our team! We are considering candidates in Dallas, Houston, Nashville, Chicago, Kansas City, Atlanta, Charlotte, Los Angeles and Denver. Frequent domestic travel is required for this position, approximately 90%. The Industrial Hygiene (Air Sampling) Technician role involves monitoring, assessing, and managing workplace environmental conditions to ensure the safety and health of employees. This role will be responsible for performing routine industrial hygiene assessments, collecting samples, analyzing hazardous materials, and assisting in the development of industrial hygiene assessment reports. This is a full-time position with overtime available. Our industrial hygiene site staffing engagements typically last 5-8 months.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections of workplace environments to identify potential hazards such as chemical, biological, and physical risks.
  • Perform noise and air sampling for contaminants, and analyze data to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Monitor workplace conditions for compliance with OSHA, NIOSH, and other industrial hygiene standards.
  • Maintain and calibrate industrial hygiene sampling equipment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of hazard control measures, including ventilation systems, PPE, and safety protocols.
  • Communicate with company project management and client for industrial hygiene assessments.
  • Generate and maintain detailed reports on environmental monitoring, including findings, corrective actions, and recommendations.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all health and safety assessments, including exposure data and incident reports.

Qualifications:


Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient use of Microsoft (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), internet

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and self starter.
  • Effective scheduling and time management skills.
  • Willing and able to travel domestically 90% annually.
  • Ability to work in a home office.
  • Willing and able to travel by car and plane.
  • Willing and able to work overtime as needed. (40-50 hour workweek)
  • Make independent travel arrangements, including booking transportation, hotel accommodations, and itineraries as needed.
