Job description

Sample Technician will be responsible for all sample requests and coordinate with the product development, production and shipping departments to fulfil all sample requests. The candidate will work on the production floor to obtain samples. They will maintain stock inventory for samples. Track inventory change, research problems with inventory and report concerns to appropriate department. The Sample Technician will be exposed to dusty and loud conditions at times so PPE is a requirement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Fulfilling sample requests by coordinating with various departments to obtain samples
  • Tracking relevant information related to requests, sample development & shipment on a computer
  • Obtaining samples on the production floor
  • Maintain stock inventory of samples
  • Works with management to dispose of obsolete, damaged, hazardous and expired material
  • Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count and investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies
  • Prints Work Orders and attachments
  • Issues Materials to Work Orders
  • Closes Work Orders
  • Follows all environmental, health and safety protocols
  • Provides support for all safety and environmental initiatives
  • Proactively attempts to prevent all accidents and eliminate all unsafe conditions

Required Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Similar or related experience desired: 1-2 years manufacturing experience, understanding of GMP, preferable manufacturing/warehouse experience, ability to learn operations procedures
