Recruiting Specialist
Reports To: AVP of Talent Experience
Location: Corporate, Onsite
Position Type: Non-Exempt

Pay Range: $19.72/hr ($41,000/yr) - $32.53/hr ($67,650/yr)
Note: Pay is dependent on skill and experience. The top of the range reflects candidates with 10+ years in similar positions with comparable responsibilities.
Position Summary
The Recruiting Specialist serves as a frontline talent acquisition professional responsible for sourcing, attracting, screening, and engaging candidates to support 3Rivers' workforce needs. This role is the outward-facing ambassador of the 3Rivers employment brand, representing the organization in the labor market through candidate outreach, job fairs, community recruiting events, school partnerships, and talent pipeline development activities. As a primary recruiting contact, the Recruiting Specialist ensures a high-quality candidate experience while building strong talent pipelines aligned to organizational hiring priorities.
Reporting to the AVP of Talent Experience, this role executes full-cycle recruiting support activities, including candidate sourcing, applicant screening, phone interviews, candidate relationship management, recruitment event participation, and applicant tracking administration. The Recruiting Specialist partners closely with hiring leaders and internal stakeholders to identify qualified candidates efficiently while strengthening 3Rivers' reputation as an employer of choice.
This role balances candidate engagement, recruitment operations, talent pipeline development, community outreach, employer branding, and hiring process coordination while ensuring recruiting practices remain timely, compliant, and aligned with workforce strategy.
Knowledge Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting practices, candidate sourcing methods, and talent pipeline development.
  • Strong verbal communication, interviewing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to represent employer brand effectively in public-facing recruiting environments.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and candidate data management.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through discipline across multiple open roles.
  • Ability to balance speed, candidate quality, and hiring manager expectations.
  • Strong customer service mindset and candidate experience orientation.
  • Ability to adapt recruiting strategies in changing labor market conditions.

Work Environment
  • Standard office environment with external travel to job fairs, community events, schools, and recruiting venues.
  • Regular interaction with candidates, hiring leaders, community partners, and internal Talent teams.
  • Frequent use of ATS systems, HRIS tools, phones, email platforms, and digital recruiting channels.

Physical Effort
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of computers, phones, and standard office equipment.
  • Occasional lifting of recruiting materials and travel to recruiting events required.

Education and/or Experience
  • Associate's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • Typically, 1-3 years of recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, sales, customer service, or workforce outreach experience preferred.
  • Experience in full-cycle recruitment, candidate sourcing, interviewing, ATS systems, or recruiting event coordination preferred.
  • Financial services, banking, or credit union experience preferred but not required.
