Albemarle is seeking an onsite Environmental Manager to oversee compliance, permitting, and environmental programs at our Pasadena, TX facility. The role partners with site leadership to drive continuous improvement, manage environmental risks, and ensure alignment with evolving regulations while fostering a proactive, site-wide environmental culture.

What You Will Do Assure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and corporate policies Provide leadership and guidance for the Pasadena manufacturing facility to drive continuous improvement in environmental performance and culture Manage environmental group to complete permitting and compliance activities Maintain environmental records and documentation to support compliance with all regulatory requirements Provide budget and cost reduction oversight for the environmental department Maintain regulatory knowledge, site-wide regulatory awareness Maintain knowledge of environmental regulations as they apply to site activities Monitor existing and potential environmental concerns and recommends priorities for sustainable resolution Lead the response team for critical environmental incidents Attend external forums, to stay informed on policy information/updates Collaborate regularly with all site departments to implement environmental programs and improvements Evaluate engineering project proposals, production process changes, jobs as applicable, and cost improvements for environmental compliance challenges Identify vendors who can provide environmental services in a manner compliant with regulations that also limits corporate liability. Assist with the development and delivery of environmental training Develop, understand, manage, and follow procedures to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
