Responsibilities
Bachelor's degree in safety engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field in safety or environmental
Assist line and staff management to understand OSHA regulations and standards, including guidance on handling OSHA compliance, inspections, and citations.
Investigates injuries in conjunction with line and staff personnel. Notifies top management of pertinent details.
Evaluate hazardous conditions and practices and develops hazard control practices and programs.
Assist in communication hazard control information and evaluates effectiveness of the control
Guides and assists plan personnel at location with critical safety and health problems.
Overview company accident statistics and makes recommendations for correction of problem areas.
Requirements
- OSHA Certified
- 3+ Years of experience in safety management in a steel manufacturing facility
- Familiar with safety and environmental programs
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
Education
- Bachelor's degree in safety engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field in safety or environmental
