About the Role
Environmental Services' mission is to maintain a clean, safe, reliable, and aesthetically pleasing environment throughout Mayo Clinic. Whether cleaning patient rooms or performing floor maintenance, you will discover a culture of teamwork, diversity, and mutual respect. This role also provides opportunities to grow your skills and prepare for future career advancements, both within the Environmental Services team and beyond.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, laboratories, offices, restrooms, corridors, floors, and other areas as assigned.
  • Replenishing supplies, removing waste, and supporting sustainability efforts by transporting recyclables to identified pick up points.
  • Collaborating with others, using organizational and time management skills, and communicating effectively.
  • Following standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
  • Using industry-leading technology and equipment to ensure safety and infection control.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Available shifts*:
Day Shifts: The day shift EVS tech positions include 8-hour shifts with various start times between 6am and 10am.
Evening Shifts:The evening shift EVS Tech positions include 8-hour shifts with various start times between 3pm and 8pm

During the OnDemand interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question - Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member, and you will be notified of next steps.

Qualifications
Must be 18 years old. Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand English. Must be able to follow written and verbal directions. Must be organized, efficient, and able to work independently and/or in a team setting.
Additional Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required. Customer service experience and skills are highly valued. Must be flexible to respond to changing priorities and handle changing workflow. Shift assignments may be altered to accommodate departmental/customer services.
