Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for Associate Test Engineers Trainees for various positions in manufacturing. This is a 12-month trainee program for students working towards an Associate's Degree. You must be okay working 40 hours a week during the summer months and 20 hours a week during the school year. If you enjoy working in a collaborative, continuous learning environment while working on industry leading technology, we want to hear from you!
Job Description:
  • Assist with performing the set-up, calibration, and testing of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
  • May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
  • Work on assignments that are complex in nature where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations.
  • Simple troubleshooting as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a clean room manufacturing environment is required.
  • You must be okay working 20 hours minimum a week.
  • Basic understanding of optics, mechanical, and electrical principles is helpful.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrate excellent organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization.
  • Willingness to learn, collaborate effectively within and across teams, and strive for continuous improvement.
  • You can stand, sit, bend, and periodically lift to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office.
