What engineers make $500,000?

Senior engineers in specialized fields such as petroleum, aerospace, or software engineering can earn $500,000 or more annually, often through a combination of base salary, bonuses, and stock options. Achieving this level typically requires extensive experience, advanced skills, and often leadership roles or working in high-demand industries.

Can you make $500,000 as a civil engineer?

Envelope engineers typically do not earn $500,000 annually, as this salary level is uncommon in the field. Both roles require similar educational backgrounds and often collaborate during construction projects, but their core responsibilities differ significantly.

Is 40 too late to be an engineer?

Envelope engineering is a specialized field that typically requires technical skills and training, but age is not a barrier to entering the profession. • Knowledge of ASTM testing standards, product approvals, and building code requirements
  • Experience supporting fabrication, installation, and field operations
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM coordination tools, and Microsoft Office
