About Dupli

Dupli is a private, family-owned company and began as an envelope printing company focused on servicing major Colleges/Universities, Banks, Credit Unions and Insurance companies in upstate NY. Over the years we have diversified our products to include Stationery, Marketing Collateral, Direct Mail and Repositionable Adhesive products (sticky note pads, wall/floor safe signage). We have also diversified our geography to include plants in Newington, CT and Malvern, PA. One of our key differentiators is our ability to ship lots of small orders. Our technology and online ordering system (DupliOnline) have enabled us to cost efficiently ship over 1200 orders daily. Nearly 90% of our orders come from 250 online platforms that are set up for our customers to order quickly and easily.

Job Overview

Dupli Envelope and Graphics is a leading manufacturing company in the paper printing industry headquartered in Central New York. We are looking for a mechanically inclined self-starter who can operate envelope converting machine.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up envelope converting jobs and machine
  • Changing over from one job to the next
  • Trouble-shooting issues
  • Quality checks
  • Maintenance for our high-powered, state-of-the-art machinery

Example of a day in this role:

  • Set up the envelope converting machine per job specifications with the least amount of downtime.
  • Seeks appropriate approvals (OKs) on every job that is manufactured on the equipment.
  • Troubleshoots operating difficulties including analyzing machine operations, inspection of products, locating troublesome elements within machines, and making necessary mechanical adjustments to eliminate quality variations and mechanical malfunctions.
  • Inspects product quality according to quality guidelines.
  • Adjust envelope converting machines and pack envelopes uniformly and neatly, also keeping up with the machine speed.
  • Replace gum, window roll, and roll of paper, as needed.
  • Checks orders throughout production to ensure accurate printing and packaging of products.
  • Removes paper jams and performs preventative maintenance when scheduled.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a machine operator.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems.
  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals is required.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and/or 25 lbs. regularly during shift.
  • Ability to regularly stand and walk, during shift.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, stoop, kneel or crouch during shift.

Schedule: 1st Shift (Day Shift) - Monday thru Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. 30-minute un-paid lunch, 2 paid breaks
Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
