Join a growing R&D test lab where your technical expertise and leadership will make an immediate impact. In this role, you'll work handson with sophisticated test systems, support and coach laboratory technicians, and collaborate closely with engineering teams on product testing and validation. You'll also help shape the future of the lab through equipment upgrades, process improvements, and expansion initiatives.

  • Develop, modify, and maintain test procedures, work instructions, and SOPs in alignment with applicable engineering and testing standards.
  • Partner closely with internal engineering teams (NPI and R&D), agency approvals, and third-party labs to plan and complete product testing prior to production release.
  • Solve sophisticated product, instrumentation, and test equipment issues, with a focus on safety, performance, and reliability.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance of test data within a third-party accredited (ISO 17025) laboratory environment.
  • Identify and lead improvements to lab processes, equipment utilization, and test management systems to increase capacity, reduce risk, and control costs.

YOU HAVE:

  • 2-3 years of related experience preferred, with strong mechanical and electrical competence and a hands-on approach to testing and problem solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, train, and support laboratory technicians, helping them work through sophisticated test setups, equipment issues, and/or data interpretation.
  • Strong proficiency in resolving issues related to instrumentation, electronic controls, and/or complex test systems; experience with PLCs, PID controls, or similar systems preferred.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems; familiarity with ISO 17025 accredited lab environments, test documentation, and calibration requirements preferred.
  • Experience developing and following test procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), wiring diagrams, and/or troubleshooting documentation; proficiency with test systems software (e.g., LabVIEW), data analysis, and/or equipment calibration preferred.
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs. and stand or sit for extended periods during testing activities.
  • EPA 608 certification required, or willingness to obtain within 3 months of start date (company paid).
