Do you enjoy meeting new people? Are you passionate about estate planning? Are you driven to keep learning and developing expertise to become the best for your clients? Do you thrive in a positive and energetic team environment?

Our estate planning attorney position will allow you to completely focus on being an attorney rather than spending your time working on marketing, intake meetings, bills, and other administrative tasks in the law. You will meet with clients, help them make decisions about their estate plan, and assist in the creation of the plan. You will work within a systematic process with a team of dedicated professionals who will support you in delivering exceptional legal services to clients.

Compensation:

Responsibilities:
  • Meet with clients and educate them on estate planning strategies in clear, simple, easily understandable language
  • Draft and review estate planning documents

  • Meet with clients, create a comfortable environment, have delicate conversations about their family and other matters, and advise them on their estate planning options
  • Keep up with new developments and continually enhance your expertise in modern estate planning methods and techniques
  • Learn the firm’s existing processes and procedures, and remain adaptable to new methods for achieving our objectives
  • Collaborate with the team to consistently improve and develop our processes and procedures

Qualifications:
  • You must have a JD from an accredited law school with a current license to practice law in the State of Alabama
  • At least three years of prior experience in estate planning preferred
  • Experience working in a bank trust department or a law firm similar to ours is a big positive
  • Candidates with three years of legal experience not specific to estate planning will be considered but compensation will be negotiable
  • Be willing to innovate more efficient ways of doing things and be open to change
  • Integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness must be unwavering in order to succeed, along with a willingness to do whatever it takes to help the team as a whole
  • You must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Be a self-starter who will address team and client needs in a quick and successful manner
  • Have a positive attitude, be driven to learn, grow, and always treat others with respect and professionalism
  • Enjoy being warm, hospitable, engaging, friendly, empathetic and passionate about helping people solve problems
  • Be proficient at using a computer (tech-savvy) and have knowledge of computer programs such as saving documents in folders, typing, Word, Excel, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar and case management software
