Job description

Customs & Digital Printing Associate

Pay $23.37 / hour

Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high quality standards
  • Preform daily setup, shut down and maintenance of digital printer
  • Maintain material flow throughout digital printer
  • Adjust equipment to meet quality and custom specifications
  • Maintain equipment and work area to a 5S standard of housekeeping
  • Preform daily, weekly and monthly preventive maintenance of equipment
  • Follow standard operating procedures determined by Supervisor
  • Coordinate with multiple departments to maintain daily schedule provided by Production Manager
  • Perform daily custom text check, data entry, printing of labels/paperwork and digital printing for custom orders along with custom order follow through

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, plus 2+ years experience in manufacturing setting

Other Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong computer knowledge and skills
  • Ability to read and understand graphic files and production orders
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principals
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Ability to operate digital printer, Adobe Illustrator and other equipment/programs related to customs and graphics operations
  • Experience in troubleshooting on a variety of equipment, including printers and computers
  • Ability to coordinate, plan and organize multiple tasks at once
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with standard office applications including Microsoft office suites and SAP
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team; must be a self-starter and able to maintain continuous work effort without direction

Physical Demands and Working Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and walk at a fast pace. The employee must occasionally kneel, stoop, crouch, twist, and lift up to 25 pounds, with or without accommodations and assistance. The employee must be able to regularly work on a computer for long periods of time throughout the day.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety glasses and hearing protection is required during certain operations.
