Purpose

The Sales Consultant Trainee (SC-T) is an entry-level sales position focused on developing foundational sales skills and building a customer base within an assigned territory. The SC-T works closely with experienced Sales Consultants and other team members to learn Sysco's sales processes, product offerings, and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new business opportunities and generate leads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Present Sysco's products and services to customers, addressing their needs and providing solutions.
  • Prepare sales proposals and presentations.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts within established guidelines.
  • Process customer orders and ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, credit, marketing) to support customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and reports using CRM and other sales tools.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and other development activities.
