  • Train as a Culinarian at Yacht Club inside Hotel Trinity, Autograph Collection Austin - learning and practicing the full duties of a professional cook in a structured culinary development program at this pre-opening fine dining seafood restaurant in downtown Austin, TX
  • Follow all White Lodging F&B procedures, health department regulations, and federal food safety guidelines across every shift in this upscale Austin hotel kitchen
  • Practice proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in accordance with HACCP standards and Marriott Autograph Collection brand requirements
  • Assist in maintaining food cost and labor cost standards - contributing to the financial performance and operational efficiency of the Yacht Club culinary team
  • Check ingredient freshness and follow all recipes, oyster bar specifications, and portion-use records - ensuring every dish meets the established quality and presentation standards of this downtown Austin fine dining destination
  • Monitor guest feedback scores and work proactively to positively influence food quality rankings for Yacht Club and Hotel Trinity Austin
  • Foster a climate of cooperation and respect among all coworkers in this pre-opening hotel kitchen environment

What You'll Bring
  • No prior restaurant or hotel kitchen experience required - just a genuine passion for food and beverage, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn and grow as a culinary professional in Austin, Texas
  • Basic knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and cooking techniques - any prior exposure to a professional kitchen environment is a plus
  • Foundational skills in sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery, garde manger, pantry, and breakfast cookery - or a strong desire to develop these skills through our structured culinary training program at Yacht Club
  • Culinary degree or apprenticeship preferred - not required; we will train the right candidate with the right attitude and passion for upscale seafood cuisine
  • Ability to stand and move at a fast pace for long periods in a high-volume pre-opening fine dining hotel kitchen in downtown Austin
  • Active unexpired Food Handler's Certification - required
  • Prior hotel culinary experience preferred - experience in a Marriott Autograph Collection, luxury boutique hotel, or upscale seafood restaurant kitchen in the Austin, Texas market a plus
