Familiarity with deck equipment, cleaning protocols, and guest service systems is typically required. During a yacht internship, interns often assist with daily deck operations, basic maintenance, cleaning, and guest services under the supervision of experienced crew members. Interns frequently rotate through different departments such as deck, hospitality, and engineering to gain a well-rounded understanding of yacht operations. This hands-on experience allows interns to develop practical skills, learn safety protocols, and build strong teamwork abilities. Additionally, they often have the chance to observe or participate in navigation and technical tasks, which can be valuable for future roles in the yachting industry.

What is a Yacht Internship?

A Yacht Internship is a structured work experience program that allows individuals, often students or recent graduates, to gain hands-on experience in the yachting industry. Interns typically work aboard luxury yachts, assisting with tasks such as deck operations, hospitality, maintenance, and guest services. This internship provides valuable insight into the daily operations of yachts and helps build skills required for a career in the maritime industry. It's a great way to network, learn from experienced crew members, and understand the unique lifestyle and responsibilities associated with working on yachts.
