Job Summary: Grinds edges off de-molded parts and inside of hullsโ€”also cuts and drills necessary holes in hulls and decks.


Duties and Responsibilities:


โ€ข Grind all de-molded parts properly (hulls, decks, small parts).

โ€ข Lift deck parts with the help of other employees and move to the cut & gear area.

โ€ข Keep the work area clean and orderly.

โ€ข Follow the instruction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead

โ€ข Inspects all parts to be complete and up to quality standards.

โ€ข Any other duties as assigned by management.

โ€ข Must comply with all OSHA and safety procedures.

โ€ข Must be able to wear a respirator, goggles, and hearing protection.

Tools used in this occupation include but are not limited to:

โ€ข Personal Protective Equipment- Safety Glasses may need a half-mask, dust/mist respirator, and Tyvek protection suit.

โ€ข Hand Tools- Rollers, sanders, buffers, screwdrivers, drills, razor knife, and scissors.

โ€ข Working directly with fiberglass, resin, and gel coat.

โ€ข Be able to use small hand tools (grinder, scraper, razor knife, blower, diamond cutter, hole saws, etc.)

Physical Requirements:

โ€ข Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature.

โ€ข Must be able to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods.

โ€ข Must be able to climb into and out of the interior of boats.

โ€ข Must be able to wear proper safety equipment as needed.

โ€ข Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary.

โ€ข The ability to see details at close range.

โ€ข Be able to use and maintain small hand tools (grinder, scraper, razor knife, blower, etc.)

โ€ข This is a safety-sensitive position.
