Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Water Engineer to join our Water Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NC. Great opportunity be part of a thriving team of young engineers and to work on national and international projects.

Your role
  • Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of somewhat diversified tasks requiring the use of analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning.
  • Prepare assigned sections of reports working under the close review of an experienced professional.
  • Perform data acquisition and analysis, researching the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations.
  • Prepare material for reports and permit applications, gathering information, writing outlines, and/or preparing work progression documents and graphic presentations.
  • Perform engineering calculations.
  • Perform field observations of construction where appropriate.
  • Perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary
About you
  • EXPERIENCE: 0-2 Years of professional experience in a related technical field.
  • EDUCATION: Completion of bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET accredited college/university.
  • SPECIAL SKILLS: PC skills required. Knowledge and experience in the use of the following software desired but not required: ArcGIS, Microstation, AutoCad, HEC-HMS, WaterGEMS, SWMM, Infoworks ICM and HEC-RAS.
  • PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: E.I. or EIT preferred.
