Job description

Weโ€™re Hiring: Commercial HVAC Apprentice / Entry Level Technician

Location: Norristown, PA | Pay Range: $18โ€“$26/hour | Full-Time

Company Overview:

Commercial Kitchen Ventilation services commercial HVAC and kitchen ventilation systems in demanding environments throughout the tri-state area. We work on rooftop HVAC equipment, exhaust fans, make-up air systems, and airflow-related problems in active commercial environments.

We run lean, move fast, and expect effort from day one.

This isnโ€™t a place to stand around and watch. If you show up ready to work, youโ€™ll learn quickly. If you need constant supervision or motivation, this probably isnโ€™t the right fit.

Position Summary:

Weโ€™re hiring an Entry-Level Commercial HVAC Technician โ€” someone ready to learn, work, and earn their spot in the field.

Youโ€™ll work alongside experienced technicians supporting service calls across commercial kitchen ventilation and light commercial HVAC systems throughout the tri-state area.

The work is physical, fast-moving, and tied directly to keeping customer operations running.

What Youโ€™ll Get:

  • $18โ€“$26/hour based on experience, effort, and capability

  • Advancement and pay increases tied to performance and capability

  • Clear path into higher-level technician roles

  • Health Insurance + Retirement Plan

  • Paid Holidays + PTO

What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Assist with commercial HVAC and kitchen ventilation service calls and repairs

  • Handle tools, materials, ladders, and jobsite setup/cleanup

  • Follow direction from senior technicians and apply it in real time

  • Learn commercial HVAC and ventilation diagnostics, repair, and troubleshooting fundamentals

  • Maintain your tools, work area, and personal standards

What Youโ€™ll Bring:

  • 0โ€“2 years of HVAC, mechanical, or trade-related experience (school, co-op, or hands-on)

  • Willingness to learn and take direction

  • Reliable, coachable, and ready to work in demanding conditions

  • Basic mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to handle physical work in demanding conditions

  • Comfortable working at heights, in bad weather, and during long days

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

Work is performed in active commercial kitchens, rooftops, and mechanical spaces where downtime matters. Expect ladder work, rooftops, crawlspaces, weather exposure, lifting 50+ lbs, emergency service calls, and on-call work.

Schedules and job locations can shift based on service demand and emergency calls.

This is not a normal 9โ€“5 role.

If youโ€™re ready to learn a trade, take direction, and build real field skills โ€” apply.

If youโ€™re looking for predictable days and low expectations, this probably isnโ€™t the right fit.

Commercial Kitchen Ventilation is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We hire based on effort, attitude, and performance.
