Job description

Troy Design and Manufacturing is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company. At TDM, we use 21st Century manufacturing processes such as 3D design and printing, laser cutting, and automation for prototype and low volume manufacturing of components of current and future Ford vehicles. At our Chicago Modification Center facility, we do state of the art vehicle modifications for multiple police interceptor platforms.

Our MP&L (Material Planning and Logistics) Coordinator reports to the MP&L Manager and works closely with TDMs internal and external customers. This is an entry level position for those wanting to get more hands-on experience with MP&L. Some of the MP&L Coordinator’s major duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to:

  • Maintain an open communication with various vendors concerning the movement of products to and from locations, as well as movement of inventory to and from TDM and input that information into the company’s computer system.
  • Work in MP&L systems to input incoming receiving documents.
  • File incoming receiving and shipping documents
  • Responsible for tracking FedEx and UPS shipments to TDM
  • Administer scrap transactions for all TDMs responsible scrap
  • Make necessary inventory transactions in accordance with TDM policies and supplier disposition
  • Work along side and support the Shipping Receiving Coordinator with necessary tasks

QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM REQUIRED:

  • 1 year experience in high pressure / high volume work environment
  • Able to complete tasks in timely manner.
  • Excellent time management skills, excellent team player and able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to perform data entry duties into operational systems.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with customers and plant operations
  • Problem solving skills
  • Efficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power point etc.
