The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Functional Manager and subject matter expert (SME) for the Purchase Request Process System (PRPS), overseeing system operations, user requirements, and process improvements supporting materiel management functions. Leads coordination with contractors, developers, functional users, program offices, and interfacing system stakeholders to define requirements, resolve operational issues, and ensure PRPS effectively supports end-to-end business processes. Provides functional expertise for system sustainment, modernization, testing, implementation, training, and integration with interfacing systems.

Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
1. Extensive knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
2. Master knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.
3. Extensive knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations.
5. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
6. Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
