The Opportunity:
Our DSLM Technical Writing team is a tight-knit group of creative and collaborative individuals. While we often have periods of working individually, we are team players and rely on each other's unique knowledge and experience to provide outstanding quality documentation. The ideal candidate would bring both a willingness to learn and their own dynamic to our small group of bright, supportive, and genuine writers.
  • Entry-level professional individual contributor on a project or work team.
  • Typically, has limited or previous experience with Technical Orders.
  • Problems faced are mid-level difficulty or complexity.
  • Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area.
  • Tasks will be of limited scope, typically on smaller, less complex projects or task-related activities.
  • Tasks are supervised, and role is mentored.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft, incorporate, edit, review, and publish approved Satellite Control Network (SCN) Technical Order (TO) Changes to the baseline in support of the operations and maintenance personnel performing the SCN mission.
  • Within the realm of a DoD contract and military standard (MIL-STD) guidelines, you will communicate and coordinate with DSLM project managers, configuration and data managers, engineers, logisticians, drafters, and Government customers to efficiently develop and maintain technical documentation and contractual deliverables.

Qualifications:
Required
  • 0-3 years technical or procedural writing experience.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Initiative to expand technical and soft skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

Desired
  • Experience with Air Force Technical Orders.
  • Familiarity of the Satellite Control Network (SCN).
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings.
  • Working knowledge of TM-86-01 and TO-00-5-1.

Pay Range:
This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACI's government contract for the work location.
