Job description

Summary
You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the Radiological Controls Department, Special Projects Division, Code 105.7 of PSNS and IMF.

  • You will be responsible for overall planning, coordinating and long-range planning and assessment of computer hardware, software and data releases.
  • You will use both qualitative and quantitative techniques to manage and as necessary analyze program issues as the Department Information Technology (IT) Coordinator.
  • You will be responsible to coordinate with resources from other departments to ensure all aspects of planned software and data releases are fully understood, tested, trained for when required.
  • You will determine facts and provide alternative resolutions to alleviate issues or concerns with respect to software and data release implementation.
  • You will independently plan and carry out the work; interprets guidelines, policies, and regulations; resolves technical and administrative problems along with recommending corrective actions to senior leadership via division/department management.
  • You will develop and maintain project planning metrics.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) analyzing technical or administrative workflows to develop and implement practical or digital process improvements; 2) working within digital workspaces or databases to organize information, structure content, and manage data; and 3) coordinating technical support and utilizing a customer service approach to assess how planned system or software updates will impact division operations.
