Job description

Intouch Insight has been helping multi-location brands across North America turn customer feedback and operational data into action since 1992. We provide customer experience measurement services and software products relied on by hundreds of organizations across a range of industries.

We're looking for an entry-level IT Support Specialist to join our Ottawa team. In this role, you'll be the go-to person for day-to-day IT support across our Windows and Mac environments, help keep our office network running smoothly, and make sure equipment gets configured and shipped out reliably to employees and field teams.

Whether you're just starting out or already have a year or two of hands-on IT support experience, it's a great opportunity to grow into more endpoint management and networking work, and to be comfortable pitching in wherever the day's priorities take you.

What You'll Do

Endpoint, Device & Application Access Management

  • Manage and support Windows and Mac endpoints day to day.
  • Help administer user access and device compliance policies.
  • Manage user access and provisioning/deprovisioning for business applications, including onboarding and offboarding.
  • Provision, configure, and enroll new devices; manage software updates and patching.
  • Provide first- and second-line troubleshooting support for hardware, software, and application access issues.

Network & Infrastructure Support

  • Support and maintain our on-premises network infrastructure, including switches, access points, and controllers.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues in the Ottawa office.
  • Assist with network configuration changes, firmware updates, and basic security hardening.

Equipment Logistics & Shipping Support

  • Prepare, configure, and ship IT equipment (laptops, tablets, peripherals) to remote employees and field teams.
  • Track equipment inventory, manage returns, and coordinate with couriers and shipping vendors.
  • Ensure all shipped equipment is properly configured, secured, and ready to use on arrival.

On-Call & General Support

  • Take part in a scheduled on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for critical issues.
  • Stay flexible to support urgent requests outside standard business hours when needed.
  • Document processes, maintain IT asset records, and contribute to our internal knowledge base.

What You'll Bring

  • A college diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role is an asset, but not required.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills across both Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • A basic understanding of networking concepts.
  • Comfort lifting and handling IT equipment for shipping and receiving tasks.
  • A valid driver's license and comfortable driving, as the role involves handling and dropping off shipped equipment.
  • A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Great communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
  • Willingness to work a hybrid schedule in Ottawa and take part in an on-call rotation.

Nice to Haves

  • Hands-on experience with JAMF, Microsoft Intune, or Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Experience with Unifi or similar network equipment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., JAMF 100, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, CompTIA Network+) are a plus, but not required.
  • Experience supporting a multi-site, remote, or field-based workforce.

Salary $65,000 - $70,000 based on relevant experience, plus benefits

We work hard, but we like to keep things fun along the way - you'll be joining a friendly, easygoing team that supports each other. Sound like you? We'd love to hear from you.
