What are entry level tech sales jobs?

Entry level tech sales jobs are positions designed for individuals new to the technology sales field, often requiring little to no prior sales experience. These roles typically involve tasks such as prospecting potential clients, qualifying leads, and supporting more senior sales staff through administrative work and customer outreach. Entry level tech sales representatives are responsible for learning about the company's technology products or services and communicating their value to potential customers. This job often serves as a stepping stone to more advanced sales roles, with opportunities for professional growth, skill development, and higher earnings based on performance.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Entry Level Tech Sales professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Entry Level Tech Sales professional, you need a basic understanding of technology products, strong communication skills, and typically a bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Familiarity with CRM software like Salesforce and sales enablement tools is commonly required. Exceptional interpersonal skills, resilience, and a results-driven attitude help individuals excel in building relationships and meeting targets. These abilities are crucial for connecting with clients, effectively managing sales pipelines, and driving revenue growth in a competitive market.

How do I get started in tech sales?

To start a career in tech sales, gain a basic understanding of technology products and sales techniques, often through online courses or certifications. Develop strong communication and interpersonal skills, and consider entry-level roles or internships to build experience in a sales environment. Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) tools can also be beneficial.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

Entry-level tech sales roles can pay around $4,000 per week through commissions and bonuses, especially in high-demand markets or with strong sales performance. Success in these roles often requires excellent communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to build client relationships, with some positions offering training and certification opportunities to boost earnings.

What are some typical challenges faced by entry-level professionals in tech sales, and how can they overcome them?

Entry-level tech sales professionals often encounter challenges such as learning complex product features, building product knowledge quickly, and handling rejection from potential clients. Additionally, breaking into competitive markets and meeting ambitious sales targets can be demanding. To overcome these hurdles, new hires should take advantage of training programs, seek mentorship from experienced colleagues, and focus on developing strong communication and active listening skills. Proactively asking for feedback and continuously improving your approach are also key strategies for early success in tech sales.

Can I get into tech sales with no experience?

Entry level tech sales positions often do not require prior experience, as employers typically look for strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and basic knowledge of sales principles. Candidates can improve their chances by gaining familiarity with CRM tools, product knowledge, and sales techniques through online courses or certifications. Many companies offer training programs for newcomers to develop necessary skills on the job.

Can you make $500,000 a year in sales?

Entry level tech sales roles typically do not offer salaries or commissions that reach $500,000 annually. High earnings in sales usually require extensive experience, a strong client base, and high-value deals, often achieved in senior or specialized positions rather than entry level. Success in sales depends on skills, performance, and commission structures, which vary widely across companies.

Job description

Entry-Level Sales Representative (Commission Only)

Pro Tech Builders & Pro Tech Restoration

No Experience? No Problem.

We Hire Attitude. We Teach the Rest.

Are you motivated to earn more than the average 9-to-5 job?

Do you enjoy talking to people, learning new skills, and challenging yourself?

If you're willing to work hard, stay coachable, and put in the effort, we'll provide the training, tools, and support to help you build a successful sales career.

At Pro Tech Builders and Pro Tech Restoration, we're looking for ambitious individuals who want an opportunity—not just another job.

This is a commission-only position designed for people who want unlimited earning potential and are willing to work for it.

About Us

Pro Tech Builders designs and builds custom decks, outdoor living spaces, and post-frame buildings.

Pro Tech Restoration helps homeowners restore their homes after storm damage through roofing, siding, windows, gutters, and exterior remodeling.

Together, we provide year-round opportunities to help homeowners while giving our sales team multiple ways to earn.

What You'll Do

  • Meet with homeowners to discuss their exterior remodeling needs.
  • Learn how to identify storm damage and construction opportunities.
  • Generate leads through networking, referrals, neighborhood outreach, and company-provided opportunities.
  • Present solutions that fit the homeowner's needs.
  • Learn our proven sales process from experienced mentors.
  • Follow up with customers throughout the sales process.
  • Build your own book of business and referral network.

What We're Looking For

You don't need years of sales experience—you just need the right attitude.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is:

  • Self-motivated and dependable.
  • Positive and eager to learn.
  • Comfortable talking with new people.
  • Competitive and driven by goals.
  • Coachable and open to feedback.
  • Professional and trustworthy.
  • Ready to work hard for a high income.

Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, athletics, military service, construction, or door-to-door sales is a plus—but not required.

What You'll Receive

  • Professional sales training from experienced mentors.
  • Hands-on field training.
  • Ongoing coaching and development.
  • Proven sales systems and technology.
  • Marketing and brand support.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Opportunities for advancement into senior sales and leadership positions.

Compensation

This is a 100% commission-based position, meaning your income is directly tied to your effort and performance.

There is no income cap.

Whether your goal is to earn an extra $50,000 per year or build a six-figure career, you'll have the opportunity to control your own success.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Smartphone and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to climb ladders and inspect roofs (training provided).
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet with homeowners.

Why Start Here?

Many of our best salespeople didn't come from sales.

They came from retail, restaurants, construction, athletics, customer service, or other industries where they learned how to work hard and communicate with people.

What they had in common wasn't experience—it was ambition.

If you're looking for a company that will invest in your development, reward your effort, and give you the opportunity to build a high-income career, Pro Tech Builders and Pro Tech Restoration are ready to invest in you.
