Location: Louisville, KY
Summary:
As a Lead Systems Technician, your role is to provide installation and/or servicing of integrated systems including Integrated Burg and Fire Alarm Systems, Access Control, and Video. Possesses strong technical aptitude and effective interpersonal skills. May assist in training of less experienced technicians.
What You'll Do:
  • Complete installation and/or servicing of various types of integrated systems, including integrated burg, card access, video, and fire alarm systems.
  • Troubleshoot integrated systems in high-end residential and commercial applications.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of the software and programming for the primary manufacturers used by branch.
  • Employ logic and experience to work through system and integrated system issues.
  • Assist in design and deployment of projects in concert with local and state building codes and communicate effectively with AHJs.
  • Interact and communicate at all levels of the organization and with external customers. Share knowledge, ideas, and solutions.
  • Review work of Entry Level through Level 2 technicians on shared job site and provide training to correct any errors.
  • Responsible for the work done by all technicians on his/her jobs.
What You'll Need:
  • Education & Experience:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • 5+ years industry experience preferred.
    • Minimum of 2-years of fire detection and signaling systems experience.
  • Certification/License:
    • State licensing is - Required.
    • Must possess a Valid Driver’s License.
    • ESA Certified Alarm Technician Level 2 or equivalent preferred.
    • NICET Fire or Video Level 2 - Preferred.
    • Completion of minimum training/certification checklist required per Technician Career Path OR equivalent experience and demonstrated expertise.
  • Communication:
    • Must be able to effectively communicate with various individuals in a professional manner in order to provide superior customer service.
  • Technical:
    • Assists in design of integrated systems; understands software and programming for the primary manufacturers used by their home branch.
    • Possesses the skill to decipher/design integrated systems in conjunction with local jurisdiction requirements.
