Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Systems Engineer Asc. to support systems engineering and design analysis for a satellite communications (SATCOM) system. As a Systems Engineer, you will: Act as Scrum Master to facilitate Agile ceremonies, track team progress, and remove team impediments Perform system analysis and interface definition for your assigned subsystem Lead and coordinate technical product development and reviews through the design lifecycle Collaborate with subsystem design engineering teams to drive design evolution in a systematic and thoughtful way Lead trade studies for enhanced subsystem design and capabilities Establish and maintain functional, allocated, and product baselines Author, maintain, and trace functional and performance requirements in a requirements management tool Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

The information below includes the standard job description for this position. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or a closely related field-or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience Understanding of systemsengineering processes Experience in agile development process, roles, and rhythms (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. US Citizenship is required Desired Skills Experience supporting Agile teams and facilitating Scrum ceremonies Experience performing Systems Engineering activities in the aerospace industry, with a focus on ground segments or satellite communications systems Demonstrated ability to work in self-directed manner, work independently, and leverage best practices Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice #SpaceNSS Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $58200.00 - $108200.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people
