Job Description:

IT System Administrators are responsible for the implementation and technical support of Enterprise's server infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to the support of Windows Server OS, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare ESX, Office 365, Azure and storage systems. IT Systems Administrators will use tools such as vCenter, SolarWinds, Active Directory administration tools, and PowerShell to manage the environments. IT Systems Administrator Level I is an entry level position.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Responsible for the day-to-day support of server operating systems and related software and hardware.
  • Troubleshoots application and operating system problems.
  • Document system configurations, and operational procedures to ensure standardized operating procedures and processes.
  • Provides Level 2 support to the IT Service Desk team.
  • Responsible for administration and support of on-premises Exchange as well as Exchange Online tenant including configuring mailbox access.
  • Work with other IT team members to address resolve/acknowledge alerts generated by monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.
  • Installs, configures, and decommissions servers following Server Lifecycle Provisioning processes. Schedules Server OS refreshes and upgrades.
  • Support and maintain Windows and Azure Active Directory environments
  • Evaluate system specifications and requirements to ensure hardware and software compatibility and security standards.
  • Work with the network team to support and troubleshoot networking site related issues
  • Work with security team to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities reported by security tools managed and maintained by the IT Security team.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications:

  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills are required.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills required
  • Proficient in Windows Server and hypervisor technologies.
  • Proficient in Windows and Azure Active Directory
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure and/or AWS
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and other networking concepts
  • Ability to work independently

Required Education and Experience:

  • 1-3yrs of Experience
  • Associate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

Supervisory/Responsibility:

  • Reports to the Converting & Paper Platform Infrastructure Leader

Work Environment:

This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility. Although the employee may spend a portion of his/her time in the office area, the employee's essential job duties may also require the employee to spend a portion of his/her time in the manufacturing area. The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in the manufacturing area.

Position Type:

This is a regular, full-time position with the understanding that a regular workweek will require extended days and hours as needed to meet business needs.

Travel:

Occasional domestic travel may be required for this position.
