Job description

Insurance Support Coordinator

About Marsh McLennan Agency's Midwest Region: MMA Midwest is a full-service brokerage providing business insurance, employee benefits, private client insurance, and retirement services to businesses and individuals across the country. MMA Midwest is consistently recognized as a top workplace, attracting and retaining its insurance talent by rewarding expertise and investing in career development. Colleagues enjoy an award-winning culture that fosters a highly productive and results-driven working environment.

A Day in the Life: As the Insurance Support Coordinator (ISC), you are the first point of contact for our agency. You provide administrative and reception support, manage reception desks, and ensure professional interactions with clients, prospects, and business partners.

Our Future Colleague: We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

  • Ability to come into our Schaumburg or Chicago office 5 days per week
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively service customers
  • Detail orientation and handling a wide variety of tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects
  • Being a self-starter; a highly organized problem solver with good time management skills to meet deadlines
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Physically able to lift 40 pounds is required

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

  • BS/BA in business, insurance, or related field
  • Proficient MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

We know there are excellent candidates who might not check all these boxes. Don't be shy. If you're close, we'd be very interested in meeting you.

A Great Place to Work. A Great Place to Perk.

Recognized for workplace culture by the likes of Fortune Magazine, The Chicago Tribune and more, our colleagues enjoy an environment that fosters creativity as well as individual and organizational growth. A small sampling of the benefits our colleagues enjoy include:

  • Medical, dental, vision, 401K benefits and more
  • The flexibility to work at home or an office, based on your discretion and schedule
  • Start with 20 days of paid time off
  • A paid day off to volunteer and company-organized volunteer events
  • Up to $1,000 per year in matching charitable donations
  • Up to $750 per year in wellness rewards
  • All the nitro cold brew coffee and sparkling water you can drink
  • A company-wide mentality that you can never appreciate your co-workers too much

Who You Are is Who We Are

MMA Midwest has created an award-winning culture largely due to meeting our colleagues where they are, celebrating their differences and building an inclusive environment. We challenge ourselves to create a workplace where our colleagues feel not only welcomed, but feel they belong; where we not only embrace diverse perspectives and opinions but seek them out; and where we ask not how a colleague fits our culture, but what they add to it.

Marsh McLennan and its affiliates are EOE Minority/Female/Disability/Vet/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity employers.

The applicable base pay for this role is $42,500. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

We are excited to offer a competitive total rewards package which includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401K savings and other retirement programs as well as employee assistance programs.
