Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting credit analysts and relationship managers in underwriting and servicing specialized credit products. Key responsibilities include expertise in product functionality and user experience as well as handling more complex inquiries, contributing to product improvement feedback loops, and training initiatives. Job expectations include coaching entry-level product specialists.

This role sits within the Merchant Services Credit & Transactional Risk organization, on the Strategies, Models & Enablement team, and offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of platform execution, risk strategies and transaction monitoring technology.

The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding the integrity of Transaction Risk Monitoring platforms, ensuring that case management platforms and rules engines operate accurately, consistently and at-scale. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with a passion for technology, risk management and building automated processes.

The selected candidate will partner closely with technology, line-of-business, and strategy teams, supporting both integrated and independent release cycles through UAT and regression testing. This role offers meaningful opportunities to grow into more advanced analytical and strategy responsibilities based on demonstrated performance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing for Transaction Risk Monitoring platforms and rules engines to ensure accuracy, stability, and alignment with business requirements

  • Validate rule logic, data inputs, and system outputs to confirm end-to-end integrity of risk decisioning

  • Identify, document, and help resolve defects, inconsistencies, or gaps in system behavior

  • Partner closely with technology teams to support platform enhancements, releases, and ongoing system performance

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing frameworks and processes, with a focus on scalability and efficiency

  • Identify and help implement opportunities to automate testing, monitoring, and control processes, reducing manual effort and improving consistency

  • Support the development of repeatable, scalable testing and validation frameworks

  • Contribute to broader process transformation initiatives, leveraging technology to improve speed, quality, and control

  • Support the implementation and execution of transaction risk rules and strategies, ensuring accurate deployment within monitoring platforms

  • Partner closely with risk strategy, analytics, and technology teams to ensure alignment between business intent and system execution

  • For high-performing candidates, contribute to strategy refinement and rule development over time

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

  • Experience and proficiency working with data, systems, or testing environments

  • Experience and proficiency working with tools such as SQL, Python, SAS, or similar is highly desirable

  • Proven experience and demonstrated success in automation, scripting, and process optimization

  • Strong interest in technology platforms, rules engines, and system-driven decisioning

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly document findings and collaborate across teams

  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and curiosity

Desired Skills

  • Experience or exposure to UAT, regression testing, or system validation processes

  • Familiarity with risk management, fraud detection, or transaction monitoring concepts

  • Exposure to rules-based engines or decisioning platforms
