Job description

Entry-Level Product Support Engineer (Maintenance)

Company:

The Boeing Company

Boeing Global Services (BGS) Military Commercial Derivative Aircraft (MCDA) team seeks Entry-Level Maintenance and Technical Publication Engineers for our Tukwila, WA location to perform a range of activities including analyzing sophisticated engineering designs and design changes to determine maintenance/repair requirements, procedures and instructions.

The candidates selected for this role will participate in interpersonal activities that influence the Aerospace Industry. The MCDA team supports all derivative programs in the Puget Sound (KC-46, VC-25B, E-7 and P-8).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist the evaluation of engineering data, in-service reliability data regulations to develop the initial minimum scheduled maintenance requirements, product certification and instructions for continued airworthiness (ICA) by performing MSG-3 Analysis.

  • Assist in developing aircraft maintenance documentation to include the Maintenance Review Board Report (MRBR), Maintenance Planning Document (MPD), Airworthiness Limitations (AWL), Certification Maintenance Requirements (CMR), Airworthiness Limitations Special Compliance (AWL-SCI), Airworthiness Limitations - Line Number Specific (AWL-LNS), and Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS).

  • Participate in Industry Steering Committee (ISC) and Working Group meetings.

  • Work with Design Engineering and Regulatory through Supplemental Type Certification (STC) and Military Type Certification (MTC).

  • Analyze in-service data for Mission Capability and Aircraft Availability.

  • Coordinate with Engineering IPTs and other support and training IPTs.

  • Work with Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) on the creation, tracking and oversight of CITAPS (Commercial Item Transfer at Price) as the need arises.

  • Assist with budget, scheduling and Basis of Estimate (BOE) proposal activities.

  • Assist with providing logistics support input for proposal development and participate in negotiations when required.

  • Influence product designs and processes to ensure supportability and maintainability; develop and use fault isolation procedures and techniques.

  • Build systems theory descriptions to ensure common understanding of systems and components and conduct engineering analyses to verify the accuracy of maintenance/repair data.

  • Develop and provide technical solutions for customers; evaluate customers' maintenance operations and develop procedures and techniques to allow users to maintain and repair products.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Familiar with FAA regulations

  • Familiar with military commercial derivative aircraft

  • Familiar with supporting military commercial derivative aircraft with FAA continued airworthiness

  • Familiar with military aircraft maintenance processes, policies, culture, and/or standard practices
