General Summary:

Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) is a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Sony Corporation. General Summary:

The primary purpose of this job is to maintain and administer key data required in the sales administration and planning process for SPT's Latin America licensing business. This individual will work closely with the Sales Administration & Planning team for the region and will be a key source of information for Distribution clients.

Responsibilities:

  • 40% Contract Administration & System input - analyze and prepare approval requests for closed deals, contracts, amendments, notifications, Pay TV Notification, internal changes, Checklists etc. Administer key data entry for all media in Sales systems.
  • 20% Avails List & Analysis - Generate and track titles availability in the different Distribution systems: update avails for clients.
  • 20% Support negotiations of new deals and renegotiations with analysis, working in conjunction with Distribution Sales and Sales Planning management team.
  • 10% Budget/ Forecast: Participant in the budget process as required, including but not limited to, update database and spreadsheets for budget, quarterly forecasts, and prepare budget assumptions and supporting information. Support salespeople to develop their budgets. Help in the preparation of the budget cycles. Responsible for the monthly forecasts and reports.
  • 10% General Administration and update of ad-hoc reports.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Television business, Latin American markets.

Knowledgeable in Outlook, Windows, Excel (Advanced), Word, and PowerPoint.

Fluency in English and Spanish, oral and written.

  • Detail oriented.
  • An excellent prioritization skill is essential; ability to make commitments and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter, able to handle day-to-day responsibilities with minimum supervision.
  • Oriented to rules and procedures.
  • Effective combination of strong analytical, organizational, and communicational skills.
  • People-oriented and team player, ability to work well with all level of employees and awareness of cultural diversity.
  • Proactive, flexible, and adaptable - anticipate needs in different situations and takes appropriate action with guidance and on own initiative.

Experience: 2+ years Sales Planning or Accounting/Finance experience required; 1-2 years Entertainment experience preferred.

Education: Bachelor's degree in related field. Master's Degree is a plus.
