Job description

Iconica is seeking a Superintendent I to join our team in Summer 2027!

At Iconica, we take a collaborative approach to design and construction, bringing architecture, engineering, and construction together under one roof. As a full-service firm, we focus on building strong relationships, thoughtful solutions, and successful outcomes—for our clients and our team.

As an entry-level Superintendent, you will support the field and construction teams to help ensure projects are completed safely, on budget, and on schedule. You'll gain hands-on experience coordinating project activities, supporting job site operations, and building strong relationships with clients and subcontractors. In this role, you'll:

  • Assist with developing, monitoring, and tracking critical path dates and milestone schedules.
  • Support weekly foreman meetings.
  • Document daily project activities through logs and photographs.
  • Help define and review project expectations and scopes of work for subcontractors.
  • Conduct weekly safety inspections and document observations.
  • Perform carpentry and general construction tasks as needed to support field operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • At least one year of construction field experience, including internship or co-op experience.
  • Familiarity with construction and carpentry tools and equipment, including power tools.
  • Understanding of jobsite safety procedures and practices.
  • Proficiency in Procore (preferred).
  • Leadership experience in student organizations or extracurriculars.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Initiative, curiosity, and an eagerness to learn.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
