Bilingual Loan Officer Assistant - Spanish Speaking

East Providence, RI | Entry-Level Mortgage Opportunity | On-Site/Hybrid After Training

POSITION OVERVIEW

Shamrock/CMG Home Loans is looking for a motivated, Spanish-speaking Loan Officer Assistant to join our East Providence, Rhode Island branch and support a high-producing Loan Officer.

No extensive mortgage experience? That's okay. This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate or early-career professional who is interested in building a career in mortgage lending, financial services, or sales.

You'll receive free industry training while gaining hands-on experience with the mortgage process, working directly with customers and an experienced Loan Officer. This position has proven to be an excellent starting point for individuals looking to learn the mortgage business and pursue future career advancement.

Work Schedule: This position will initially work full-time on-site at our East Providence, RI branch while completing training and learning the role. Once fully trained, there may be an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule with one to two days per week from home, based on business needs and performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the Loan Officer throughout the mortgage loan process
  • Communicate with customers and internal operations teams to help keep loans moving toward closing
  • Request disclosures and order appraisals
  • Open escrow, collect fees, and order preliminary title reports
  • Collect and review client documentation
  • Review income analysis provided by the Loan Officer
  • Prepare and submit loan documentation to Processing, including submission forms, Intent to Proceed, LDP/GSA, and Net Tangible documentation
  • Gather Loan Agent Prior-to-Document (PTD) and Prior-to-Funding (PTF) conditions
  • Submit requests for Rapid Rescores
  • Help provide customers with a positive, responsive experience throughout the mortgage process
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bilingual Spanish/English required
  • Must be able to work on-site in East Providence, Rhode Island
  • Recent college graduates and early-career candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Mortgage or financial services experience is helpful but not required
  • 2+ years of mortgage industry experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
  • Interest in developing a career in mortgage lending, financial services, or sales
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with Point software is a plus

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

This role operates in an ADA-compliant office environment, utilizing typical office equipment and performing tasks including computer work. The position may involve periods of stationary work as well as movement throughout the day. Flexibility to work overtime when necessary to meet business deadlines may be required.

BASE COMPENSATION INFORMATION

The base compensation range for this position is $22.00-$24.00 per hour, plus the opportunity to earn a potential bonus.
