KBR is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support the integration, test, and evaluation of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) systems such as GPS and Inertial systems. This position supports laboratory-based and operationally relevant systems across research and applied DoD programs.
This position is suited for early career engineers developing foundational systems engineering skills and PNT domain knowledge. The engineer will work under the guidance of senior engineers to support concept development, prototyping, hardware integration, testing, and analysis of PNT capabilities in laboratory and field environments for offensive and defensive systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with development of system requirements, interfaces, and test plans
  • Support laboratory setup, configuration, and execution of PNT experiments and evaluations
  • Support integration of hardware, software, and test infrastructure
  • Assist with hardware- and software-in-the-loop test activities
  • Collect, analyze, and document test data to support system assessment and algorithm evaluation
  • Support coordination between software, hardware, and test teams
  • Document system configurations, test procedures, and results to support technical reviews and deliverables
  • Participate in team technical interchange meetings to describe technical activities, progress, issues, improvements, and more

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Communications Theory, or a related technical discipline
  • 0-2 years of engineering experience
  • Foundational understanding of systems engineering principles and system integration concepts
  • Ability to work in laboratory or test environments supporting integrated systems
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance

Desired Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Academic or project experience supporting system integration, testing, or evaluation
  • Exposure to PNT or other laboratory environments or test campaigns
  • Familiarity with basic modeling, simulation, or data analysis tools
  • Experience supporting DoD-related research or prototyping efforts

Basic Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 (For Beavercreek, OH Only)
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity
