Facilities Maintenance Engineer

Compensation: $90,000 to $115,000 + bonus
**This position requires about 30% travel, but is flexible, and can be worked around this persons schedule.
Position Overview
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Engineer to support facility operations, preventative maintenance, equipment reliability, and infrastructure improvement initiatives across multiple sites. This role will partner closely with operations, EHS, and leadership teams to ensure building systems and manufacturing support equipment operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting experience across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and industrial systems, along with the ability to manage maintenance priorities, vendor relationships, and facility improvement projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day facility maintenance and building operations across manufacturing and distribution locations
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, compressed air, boiler, and other facility systems
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules, procedures, and CMMS documentation
  • Drive equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, EHS, and Production teams to resolve facility and maintenance-related issues
  • Support facility upgrades, renovations, and capital improvement projects including contractor and vendor coordination
  • Maintain facility layouts, infrastructure documentation, and space planning using CAD and related software tools
  • Assist with maintenance tracking, asset management, and work order documentation

Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent hands-on experience in Facilities Maintenance, Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or commercial facilities
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and CMMS systems
  • Familiarity with CAD software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a hands-on, fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience
  • Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS) exposure
  • Facility layout, infrastructure, or racking system experience
  • Trade certifications or technical licenses are a plus
