Manufacturer specializing in custom dust collection systems is looking for a CNC Operator on 1st shift. Open to entry level candidates and will start anywhere between $20-25/hr depending on experience. Great company culture and lots of overtime available!

Job Description

Seeking a dedicated CNC Operator for 1st shift, from 6am to 3pm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for machining and assembling parts according to supplied prints using company-provided tools and machines. This role is open to entry-level candidates with 0-2 years of experience, ideally those who have attended vocational training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Review drawing packages to obtain necessary information for machining parts within specified tolerances.
  • Program and set up machines based on part specifications using FeatureCam.
  • Operate rigging equipment according to manufacturers' guidelines.
  • Perform daily cleaning of machinery and work area.
  • Perform machine maintenance as required.
  • Inspect parts during and after the manufacturing process.
  • Attend training courses as necessary.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Lift up to 75 pounds.

Essential Skills

  • Familiarity with CNC mills, proto trak, manual mills, set-up, and programming.
  • Ability to adjust speeds and feeds.
  • Experience with Vertical and/or Horizontal CNC Mills.
  • Familiarity with G-code.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Related on-the-job experience or an associate degree preferred.
  • Understanding of production processes and material costs.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and problem-solve effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and professional etiquette.
  • CNC grinding experience is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Math.
  • FeatureCam or similar Cam software experience (MasterCam experience is a plus).
