About our organization:As an engineer, you'll be joining our growing Aurora Software department which has 200+ Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Systems Administrator, Database Administrator, and Network Engineer peers from entry-level to the most senior chief engineers and architects. Our Software Department is part of a larger organization that includes Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test staff as well as a Hardware Engineering unit. Basic Qualifications:

  • Level 2: Bachelor's degree in science with 2+ years of software development experience; 0+ years with a Master's; or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Requires an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at time of application.

  • Demonstrated software development experience across design, implementation, and test

  • Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP)

  • Experience with Git version control

  • Experience with software development lifecycle

  • Ability to clearly document and present technical ideas

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Java programming

  • Experience with Linux environment

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Experience with automation pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab)

  • Experience with automated regression testing (unit, integration, system level)

  • Experience with service-oriented architectures

  • Experience with RESTful APIs

  • Experience with non-relational databases (Elasticsearch)

  • Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ)

  • Experience with Javascript and front-end libraries (React)

  • Experience with Python and Bash scripting

  • Experience with Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)

  • Experience with Agile Scrum processes and practices

  • Familiarity with Command and Control (C2) mission domain

  • Familiarity with common device protocols (REST, SNMP, GEMS, SCPI)

  • Familiarity with RF chain and/or ground station management

  • Able to motivate a large agile team that supports multiple products

  • Able to handle prioritization with requests coming from multiple customers

  • Proven history of delegation

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
