Job Details:
The Polysomnographic Technologist is a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) with expert skills in conducting sleep studies, sleep staging and technical scoring of sleep events according to the AASM standards. He/she works closely with the ambulatory supervisor, manager, Chief Medical Director to assure quality diagnostic and therapeutic services in the Sleep Lab. Provides excellent patient experience by following policies, procedures and protocols and hospital values. Professional duties include patient assessment to determine patient specific needs, comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including polysomnography, extended EEG, MSLT/MWT, application and titration of oxygen,CPAP/BiPAP, blood gas sampling and analysis and patient/family education.The RPSGT also assists in mentoring staff and orienting and supervising new sleep technicians, scoring and staging studies, calibrating and troubleshooting equipment problems, supporting and implementation of new testing modalities. Provides coverage as needed.

Hours: Night shift, 630p-7am ( 7 nights a week )
