Description
Shift Days: Sunday, Monday, Thursday + Friday. OFF on Tuesday, Wednesday + Saturday
Shift Hours: 11:00PM - 7:00AM
As a Patrol Security Officer with Blackwell Professional Support Services, Inc., you will conduct foot and/or mobile patrols to oversee a physical property, protect and assist residents, tenants, and visitors with high-touch customer service, collaborate with third party vendors, and meet the demands of the property. This position reports directly to the Security Supervisor or District Manager assigned to the property.
Role and Responsibilities
  • Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure security
  • Perform security patrols in vehicle, on foot, and in areas that may not be climate controlled
  • Monitor building(s) and report unauthorized person and/or suspicious activities
  • Educate individuals of property policies such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden items
  • Respond and report to emergency situations in association with property policies
  • Monitor assigned parking areas and/or garages and enforce parking area policies
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, vendors, and visitors
  • Maintain excellent communication and reporting
  • Monitor cameras, alarm systems, and other specialized software as needed
  • Observe and report events throughout the day by radio or written Security Officer Report (SOR)
  • Complete detailed security incident reports for all events occurring on shift
  • Additional property specific duties may be required
  • Observe and report events throughout the day
  • Answer client, vendor, and visitor questions and incoming calls
  • Maintain excellent communication and reporting
  • Monitor cameras, alarm systems, and other specialized software
  • Utilize a computer system to maintain digital records and communication
  • Additional property specific duties may be required

  • 21+ years of age required
  • Must hold a current St. Louis County Security License or the ability to obtain one
  • Must hold an active and valid Missouri or Illinois drivers license
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • A minimum of 1 year of security experience preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Superior organizational, follow-up, and trouble-shooting skills
  • Computer literacy with a focus on reporting
  • Positive, team-focused attitude
  • Experience with Microsoft Office preferred
  • Shift flexibility is desired
