Overview
Melaleuca has immediate openings for a Weekend Part-time Security Guard to ensure that the Melaleuca space is a secure, safe and a non-violent environment for all Melaleuca associates and its properties.
The position is located in Kansas City, Missouri and is a Non-Smoking Campus
Shift available:
3rd shift Weekend - Saturday & Sunday 11:00pm - 7:30am
Responsibilities
  • Performs routine inspections of all areas ensuring the building is secure at all times.
  • Oversees all associate traffic in and out of the associate entrance(s).
  • Reviews the active and terminated associate listing to remain familiar with all associates names and departments.
  • Represents Melaleuca in a very professional and respectful way to all vendors, associates and members of management.
  • Ensures that all personal property is handled in an appropriate manner (i.e., signed and accounted for).
  • Ensures that all key distribution throughout the facility is done only with the appropriate personnel (i.e., department mentors, etc.).
  • Reports any hazardous situations (i.e., loose carpet, icy sidewalks, spills, broken glass, etc.) to Maintenance personnel immediately.
  • Receives deliveries from Federal Express, Airborne, UPS and other carriers and ensures all packages are delivered to the appropriate associate.
  • Maintains all adequate information related to all Melaleuca policies and procedures (i.e., Evacuation Routes, Parking Procedure, etc.).
  • Conducts consistent security inspections of the plant facility throughout shift and reports any questionable situations to the security coordinator.
  • Maintains a daily log of all activities during the shift.
  • Shoveling snow from front walk and spreading salt/sand
  • Reads and follows procedures as outlined in the S.O.P. manual.

Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Standing, sitting or walking for duration of shift.
  • Written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under stress.
  • Sit with intermittent walking.
  • Communicate (hearing & speech) with individuals in person and by phone.
  • Visually read reports, computer screen, etc.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ability to work extra hours as need (i.e., July 4th, Christmas parties, etc.).
