Type: Full-time · Entry Level

Pay: $22.00/hour base + monthly bonus (see below)


About the Role

Universal HDD, a leading manufacturer of horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment, is looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative to join our team. This is an entry-level position — no prior sales experience required, just strong communication skills, drive, and a willingness to learn our products. You'll be the first point of contact for incoming customers and play a key role in growing our sales pipeline.


What You'll Do

  • Respond quickly to inbound leads from our website, email, and phone
  • Make outbound cold calls to prospective customers to generate new business and build the pipeline
  • Re-engage past and inactive leads to revive stalled opportunities
  • Qualify leads — understand the customer's project, timeline, budget, and equipment needs
  • Send quotes, spec sheets, and product information to prospects
  • Schedule qualified meetings and hand them off to our Sales Managers
  • Log every call, email, and touchpoint accurately in our CRM
  • Follow up consistently with prospects until you get a response


What We're Looking For

  • Strong phone and written communication skills
  • Comfortable making cold calls and handling rejection
  • Organized, disciplined, and comfortable working in a CRM
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented
  • Willing to learn the technical side of HDD equipment
  • High school diploma required; some college or sales exposure a plus
  • No sales experience necessary — we'll train you


Compensation & Benefits
