Job description

Position Overview
As a Sage 100 Contractor Account Executive at Accordant, you will play a key role in driving growth by partnering with small and mid-sized organizations seeking to modernize and streamline their core business operations.
This role is well-suited for a motivated early-career sales professional looking to step into a full-cycle Account Executive position. You will build on your foundation in software or accounting sales to develop consultative selling skills and own opportunities from initial engagement through close.
You will work closely with business owners, finance leaders, and operations stakeholders to understand how their current systems support or limit their ability to scale. From there, you will position Sage 100 Contractor as a flexible ERP solution that brings together financials, inventory, and operations into a single, integrated platform.
You will partner closely with SDRs, solution consultants, and implementation teams to ensure every opportunity is well-qualified, every solution is right-sized, and every client experience reflects Accordant's commitment to long-term partnership.
Responsibilities
  • Own and develop opportunities across the full sales cycle, from initial outreach or qualification through close, with support from senior team members as needed
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer workflows across finance, operations, and related functions
  • Position Sage 100 Contractor as an integrated business management solution that unifies accounting and operational processes
  • Identify and engage organizations currently using entry-level accounting systems or legacy tools that no longer meet their needs
  • Build and manage a pipeline through outbound prospecting, inbound follow-up, and SDR partnership
  • Collaborate with SDRs to qualify and advance opportunities effectively
  • Develop proposals that clearly communicate business value, including efficiency gains and improved financial visibility
  • Support product demonstrations and presentations in partnership with solution consultants
  • Navigate multi-stakeholder buying processes with guidance and coaching
  • Partner with implementation teams to support a smooth transition from sale to delivery
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, forecasting, and CRM hygiene
  • Continuously build knowledge of Sage 100 Contractor, ERP fundamentals, and industry trends

What Success Looks Like
  • Progression into consistent quota attainment as you ramp in the role
  • Strong pipeline development and activity levels
  • Demonstrated growth in consultative selling and discovery capabilities
  • Ability to effectively position Sage 100 Contractor for small to mid-sized organizations
  • Positive client experience from initial engagement through implementation handoff
  • Strong collaboration with SDRs, consultants, and delivery teams

Required Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in B2B sales, SDR/BDR roles, or early-stage Account Executive experience (software, SaaS, or accounting-related sales preferred)
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting, pipeline generation, or supporting full-cycle sales efforts
  • Strong interest in developing consultative sales skills and growing into a full-cycle Account Executive role
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Coachable, curious, and motivated to learn complex business solutions
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing pipeline and CRM (Salesforce or similar)
  • Ability to operate effectively in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to ERP, accounting software, or financial systems
  • Experience selling into small to mid-sized businesses
  • Familiarity with industries such as Construction, Distribution, or Manufacturing
  • Experience working in a team-based sales environment with SDR and AE partnership
