Robotic Welding Technician | Logan, UT


Nexeo Staffing is seeking a motivated Robotic Welding Technician to join an innovative manufacturing team specializing in automated welding technology. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welderโ€”or a recent welding school graduate looking to grow their career in automation and robotics. The ideal candidate will have a strong welding foundation, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to learn FANUC robotic programming, cell operation, and customer demonstrations. Training will be provided for the right candidate.


Responsibilities

  • Learn to program, set up, and operate FANUC robotic welding cells.
  • Perform manual MIG, TIG, and/or Flux-Core welding to support production, testing, and demonstrations.
  • Develop and optimize robotic weld programs using teach pendant programming, path setup, and weld parameter adjustments.
  • Load, fixture, and inspect parts to ensure proper fit-up and weld quality.
  • Verify welds meet blueprint specifications, weld symbols, and quality standards.
  • Assist with robotic welding demonstrations for prospective and existing customers.
  • Explain cell operation, welding processes, and automation capabilities during customer visits.
  • Support equipment commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including consumable replacement, wire feed checks, and nozzle cleaning.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all safety and PPE requirements.


Qualifications

  • Formal welding education, technical certification, or equivalent training required.
  • AWS certifications preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with MIG/GMAW welding; TIG and FCAW experience are a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in robotics, automation, and advanced manufacturing.
  • Willingness to learn FANUC robotic programming and cell operation.
  • Comfortable interacting with customers and explaining technical concepts professionally.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods in a fabrication environment.
  • Prior experience with robotic welding systems is a plus.
