Job Summary
As a representative for our company you will wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans using a dishwasher or by hand, and must be able to load and unload the dishwasher. Will maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and orderly condition. You will place clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in storage areas, and will prepare and package individual place settings.
May be directed by Managers to: clean and prepare various foods for cooking and serving. Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bars. Transfer by hand supplies and equipment between storage areas and work areas. Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pick up areas.Job Description

Essential Functions
  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand
  • Clean and prepare various foods for cooking and serving
  • Must be able to load and unload the dish-washing machine
  • Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bar
  • Clean garbage cans with water or steam
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas
  • Prepare and package individual place settings
  • Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
  • Sweep and scrub floors
  • Follows safety and sanitation procedures with all guidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health and Risk Management

Work Environment
  • The work environment for Dish Machine Operators includes the following large kitchen environment elements and exposures
    • Fast paced kitchen
    • High sense of urgency
    • Moderate to high noise level
    • Some steam from the dishwasher and or sprayers
    • Exposure to soap and cleaning solutions

Requirements
  • Candidate must have and maintain an active Servsafe Food Handlers card.

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Removing excess weight & seek assistance lifting heavier loads
  • Must be able to stand a minimum of 8 hours a day
  • Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the operation
  • Including the following tasks: crouch, bend, reach, twist, lift to complete task

  • Reach above and outward, to use rinse hose, retrieve or replace storage bins on overhead racks
  • Pushing and pulling carts both loaded and unloaded
  • Bending over to pick up items and/or turning and twisting with dishes/trays
  • Using step ladder to get items at top shelves includes climbing, and reaching
  • Reaching across the conveyor of washer to place/pick up pots, pans, and utensils
  • Lifting/Carrying garbage/trash bags, trays with dishes & utensils
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision
